FLLGS Return From Break Safety Reminders

As we return from April vacation, Fairfield Little League Girls Softball wants to remind you of a few important safety guidelines:

1. FLLGS COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Please make sure to review the League's COVID-19 Safety Plan as you return from break:

Please note an important change from the previously published plan: catchers are required to wear face coverings at all times during play.

2.  Quarantining if you traveled out of state or out of the country

FLLGS follows all State of Connecticut Department of Public Health and CDC guidelines regarding quarantining after travel.  Please make sure them to review them here:

Travel Advisory for Connecticut During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Neither FLLGS nor its volunteers is not in a position to mandate or enforce these guidelines.  We ask that everyone consider the health & safety of the community when returning to play after travel.

3. Return to play after quarantine due to contact tracing

FLLGS follows return to sports guidance from the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health and the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference.  If your child is required to quarantine due to contact tracing or any other reason, they are not eligible to return to softball until at least 14 days after their quarantine begins. Full rules can be found here:

4.  Questions?

Please reach out to FLLGS Safety Officer Jim Coghlan at or email us at with any questions about this or any other safety-related inquires.
